SUTCLIFFE'S BASS

Sutcliffe was cajoled by his fellow art
student John Lennon into buying the bass
and joining the other Quarry Men.

The print shows the guitar standing within a
gallery, an image of Sutclffe hangs on a wall
above. The streets of Liverpool are subtly
overlaid on the guitar with Mathew Street
and the Cavern Quarter clearly visible.

The print features a compelling footnote
below the bass, adding to the
atmosphere of the piece.
